Pat Carroll (CEO)
Pat is a founding Director and CEO of ValidSoft. He has over 20 years of experience in Information Technology and Financial Markets.Throughout his career, Pat has been at the forefront of industry thinking, representing organisations on industry bodies and leading participation in industry initiatives. At ValidSoft, he leads the R&D function and is responsible for intellectual property and new patents. ValidSoft is regarded by leading research analysts as an innovator and a leader in the field of security having received many name checks in key research notes.
Prior to founding ValidSoft, Pat was employed as Head of Electronic Trading Technology in Europe for Goldman Sachs International where responsibilities included technical strategy related to Electronic Trading, Client Connectivity and Straight Through Processing (STP). In addition, Pat co-headed European Equities Technology and was a technical advisor to the Investment Banking Division (PIA).
Pat has extensive Financial Services & technical experience (over 25 years) and has previously worked in a senior capacity with J.P Morgan, Credit Suisse Financial Products and Bankers Trust Company.

Phil Hickman (Non-executive Chairman)
With over 30 years of experience, Phil Hickman (1950) is regarded as an expert in Payments Processing and the development of new solutions. Prior to his association with ValidSoft, Mr Hickman was CEO of Intelligent Processing Solutions Limited, a role that naturally evolved from his previous 30 year career within HSBC; positions within that Group also included Head of Strategy & Planning for the Commercial Bank. Mr Hickman is also Chairman of Elephant Talk Communications, the parent company of ValidSoft.

Bennie Peleman (Vice President Global Sales)
Bennie Peleman joined ValidSoft as Vice President, Sales EMEA in October 2010 to be promoted in February as Vice President Global Sales.
Prior to joining ValidSoft, Mr. Peleman held senior roles such as ‘Country Manager’ and ‘Senior Director Alliances, North and South of Europe’ with Computer Associates, one of the world’s market leaders in software technology. During his tenure there, he restructured the Belgian, Netherlands and Luxembourg entities while generating double-digit growth year-on-year. Over the last 15 years, Mr. Peleman has held several country management positions within start-ups, medium-sized and established software companies at an international level .Mr Peleman holds a BSc in Computer Sciences from RHITO in Antwerp and a Post Graduate in Marketing from EHSAL in Brussels.

John Petersen (Global Head of Business Development)
John Petersen is Global Head, Business Development for ValidSoft Limited and is a founding member of the ValidSoft team, having joined the company prior to its official launch in 2003. John comes from a background of Information Technology consulting within the Financial Services industry, both in Australia and the UK.Prior to joining ValidSoft John worked as a consultant to UK financial services organisations for both Logica CMG, the worldwide IT solutions group and Cap Gemini, Europe’s largest IT outsourcing, solutions and consulting group.
Before moving to the UK in 1998 John worked as a senior IT manager for a major Australian insurance and financial services group, responsible for IT strategy and development.
